Portland Visit...Full of Surprises!

So, little did we know, but Dad and Jamie began a month long motorcycle trip leaving Missouri to Oklahoma to see Gary Uren, checked out the Grand Canyon, and then made it to California to see Aunt Connie and Uncle Ted and Ariel, Scott, and Tyler as they welcomed in their new daughter Ella Kristine. They then drove up to Portland and surprised all of us showing up on Julie's doorstep! It was a great surprise! The next day we went downtown to see the Rose Festival events including battleships, coast guard boats, and tug boats.

At the water park, where Joshua splashed around with the other kids. Dee Dee stopped by to say hello, their condo was very close to the park.

Rose Garden visit number 2 with Dad and Jamie.

The Keen Kab spotted outside their headquarters (we learned later). There is a Trailhead sticker on the bottom right back bumper!

At the Children's Museum

Mark...my shop Keen rep gave, Julie, Joshua, and I the grand tour of Keen headquarters including a sneak peek of next year's line up. We were treated to lunch at the park, as part of their company wide sales meetings activities.

Mark chauffeured me in the Keen Kab back to headquarters where I then took a taxi to the airport back to Colorado. It was a sweet ride, especially since it is the same cab featured in several films including the Superman movie!

Portland Visit - Rose Garden

First trip to the Portland Rose Garden with Jen, Julie, and Joshua. It was a rainy day, but made photographing the area spectacular! I could spend days at this garden!

View toward the city of Portland, Oregon.

We definitely stopped to smell the roses!

Outdoor amphitheater in the Rose Garden, very cool! Very Shakespearean.

Speaking of Shakespeare...

Walking up to the Japanese Gardens. We decided we'd need more time to enjoy the gardens, so we went to lunch downtown, after we walked around the entrance area.

Tall, tall, TALL trees! Sooooo cool!
